We invite educators and students to use this centennial observation as a once-in-a-century teaching/learning opportunity!
In collaboration with the National WWI Museum & Memorial in Kansas City, we have prepared a number of lessons and tools connected to the commemorative event.
Available resources include:- A toolkit for hosting an in-class or local commemoration
- A resource on remembrance and commemoration featuring the WWI Centennial Commemoration's poppy program
- A look at American patriotism through WWI propaganda posters
- A number of lesson plans and links addressing the U.S. entry into the war
